As usual, Juan and I hung out from the connecting station to the one where we both work. We didn’t get to talk much because he had some Spanish-speaking kid asking him a lot of questions. They spoke quickly, but I managed to catch and understand most of the words. However, I didn’t understand them in the context.
I wore a nice dress to work today that I bought last weekend and got a lot of compliments on it. I wonder how superficial people are that they care about things like clothes. Sure, it looked good on me, but I haven’t garnered this much notice in a long time. Frankly it was weird. I suppose that the next 10 times I wear it, it won’t be that big a deal, though!
At the end of the school day, I got a phone call from Juan. He told me his wife was coming to pick him up at work for the next two days. I hope it’s because of the weather and not because of Diego. And I have professional development on Friday, so I won’t get to talk to him at all for the rest of this week. I could learn to detach myself a bit from him anyway, so it’s probably good for me!
